Better alone than feeling alone. Better with just oneself than in bad company.
We have to be strong, we have to fight for ourselves... sometimes it is better alone than in bad company.

It's not ideal,
and I hope someday
it could be different.

But it's much better
than the alternative:
being with someone
who doesn't appreciate me,
that makes me feel undervalued,
unloved, used, unsupported...
and infinitely lonely.

Because sometimes
we are lonelier
when we are with someone like that
than when we really are alone.

If you give me a choice,
I'd rather be alone
instead of with someone
who makes me feel
as if I'm alone.
