Unfulfilled promises are like inflated hope balloons that deflate with reality. It is heartbreaking to witness how those illusions slowly fade away, as if the air escapes from them mercilessly. We cling to those promises as if they were our lifeline, nourishing our dreams and expectations. But when the crucial moment arrives, reality steps in, crushing our hearts with harsh truth. Disillusionment and sadness take hold of us, and we wonder what we did wrong to deserve this disappointment. We confront the cold and painful reality that some promises will never be fulfilled, leaving a void within us and an indelible scar on our trust.
In the darkness of my dreams, promises fade,
like shooting stars that extinguish relentlessly.
With fervor and hope, I built castles in the air,
but unfulfilled promises left them in ruins.
My heart once adorned with vibrant illusions,
but cruel fate mercilessly dissipated them.
Whispered words of sweetness now distant echoes,
in the abyss of disappointment, my spirit shattered.
Painful reality that tears away my wings of hope,
broken promises piercing like thorns into my soul.
My tears bear witness to a fading faith,

clinging to the shadows of a future that will never arrive.
With each unkept promise, the pain grows deeper,
and within my chest, wounded love finds its dwelling.
