In the quiet of my room,
I whisper to the moon,
A tale of love, once blooming bright,
Now fading gently into night.
I held you close, too scared to see,
That love means more than holding thee.
A butterfly, I tried to cage,
In doing so, I dimmed its stage.
The tears I shed, not all in vain,
For with each drop, I released pain.
And in the space where you once lay,
I found the strength to say, “Okay.”
To let you go, to watch you fly,
Was never meant to say goodbye.
But rather, “See you in another light,
Where both our hearts can soar in flight.”
I learn to love the empty space,
For in its void, I find my grace.
The freedom to be truly me,
To love, to live, to simply be.
So, thank you for the love we shared,
For in letting go, I’ve found I’m spared.
A heart now open, wide and free,
A soul unbound, just like the sea.
In solitude, I find my worth,
A quiet rebirth upon this earth.
For in the art of letting go,
I found the love I truly know.
