Lost Voices in the Echo of War

War is the echo of voices that failed to communicate. It's a thought that often strikes me, especially when I look around and see the chaos and suffering. It's like when, among friends or family, we let differences grow, and instead of resolving them, we let them simmer in silence until they erupt. On a grand scale, the consequences are devastating: cities torn apart, lives lost, dreams vanishing into thin air.

And the world mourns the fallout. It's not just a figure of speech. You watch the news or hear the stories, and it feels like the entire planet shares a collective pain. A sadness that crosses borders, languages, and cultures. Because, deep down, we all share the same desire to live in peace, to care for our loved ones, to dream of a brighter future.

Every time I see the aftermath of war, the faces of those who experience it firsthand, the tears of children, the despair of parents, my heart breaks a little more. It hurts to know that on both sides there's suffering, that there are no real winners when humanity loses so much. And in my darkest moments, I cry. I cry for the elusive peace that seems to slip through our fingers like water. Yet, I hold onto the hope that one day, we'll learn our lesson and find a way to understand each other, to build a world where dialogue reigns over the roar of war.

Echoes of shattered silence

In the shadow of the night, I weep,
for a world silently facing its decline.
The roar of war resounds,
and voices of peace are lost to the wind.

Children without laughter, skies without stars,
everything seems gray, void of hope.
Pain in the eyes, fear in souls,
dreams broken on a barren slope.

Each bomb, a fading sigh,
each scream, a memory turning gray.
Where did the love and understanding go,
in this world ablaze and in dismay?

Dear god, in this dark night I plead,
hear the cry of a wounded heart's creed.
Return to us peace and solace so sweet,
and let the echo of war retreat.
