Beyond the costume: the kindness that can't be hidden
It Doesn't Matter the Costume You Wear; Kindness Always Comes to Light
We live in a society where appearances often become our calling card. From the car we drive to the clothes we put on, it seems like everything is designed to hide or reveal parts of ourselves. But there's one thing no mask can hide: the intrinsic kindness we carry within.
Wearing a costume can be fun and freeing. It gives us the chance to be someone else for a day or a night, to play around with our identity. But at the end of the day, when the mask comes off and the costume is stored away, what really matters is how we treat others.
It doesn't matter if you're dressed as Superman or a pirate; if you've helped someone in their time of need, if you've offered a kind word or a simple supportive gesture, you've laid bare your true essence. You don't need to be a superhero to change the world; you just need to be kind.
So the next time you put on a costume, remember: what you wear may change, but who you truly are will always come to light.
Halloween poem
On this night of tricks and of treats,
where masks hide who you might be,
never forget, amid the ghouls you see,
that kindness is a gift that can't be beat.
Witches fly and ghosts go round,
but beyond the fear and the sight,
what truly captures hearts tonight
is the sweetness in you that's found.
