I have a question for you: How do you feel about waiting? You know, like when you're in line at the grocery store or on a phone call with your boss.
For me, waiting is my least favorite thing. I want to get what I want right away and then move onto the next thing. But with God, that's not always how it works out. Sometimes he has us wait for things that will make us happy in the long run, while other times he takes things away from us that make us unhappy in the short term but ultimately help us grow as people.
I know that this isn't always easy to hear—especially when we're going through tough times like unemployment or illness or death in the family—but there's actually some good news here! The Bible tells us that God is faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9), and that means he will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). If you're going through something difficult right now and wondering whether God has abandoned you because things aren't going your way… well, let me tell you something: He hasn't abandoned you! And if he hasn't abandoned you yet, then it's safe to say he won't abandon you. So don't give up hope! God is with you, and he will never leave or forsake you.
