On the autumnal equinox,
day and night are each 12 hours long .
On this very one day,
the Sun crosses the celestial equator
going southward;
it rises exactly due east
and then, it sets due west.

SPRING
On the vernal equinox,
day and night are each about 12 hours long
The Sun crosses the celestial equator
going northward; it rises exactly due east
and sets due west.

Whatever the season you may be in
